Our Beginnings.

Bath By Bettijo was created by Bettijo B. Hirschi, who became interested in health and beauty as a respite from her demanding career life. Bettijo began her career as a project analyst for the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. She quickly noticed her schedule filling and her personal time, alone and with her husband, dwindling.

Seeking respite from her demanding career life, Bettijo began experimenting with herbs to create relaxation remedies at home. In the small kitchen of a high-rise apartment, Bettijo handmade her first bar of soap. She was thrilled with her creation and immersed herself in all the books and research she could find about natural body care treatments. On weekends Bettijo would experiment with new bath and body recipes on herself, on her husband or on friends who loved escaping to Bettijo's home spa parties and indulging in the latest creation.

This home spa obsession sprouted into the Bath By Bettijo collection, which launched in November 2003 with a mission to provide natural, healthy products to pamper overextended and overworked people -- which is just about everyone.

Since becoming a mother in January 2005, Bettijo has continued to expand the collection to include organic baby care products for pampering even the smallest member of the family.

Our Philosophy.

Our formulas include only high-quality natural and organic ingredients so Bath By Bettijo products are both healthy and beautiful. Using the best of what Mother Nature has to offer, our products include pure essential oils, raw shea butter, and a variety of other oils, herbs and botanicals.

Green is more than our favorite color. Bath By Bettijo is an environmentally conscious brand. Not only do we use only the ingredients that are good for you, but also we reduce waste by using no outer product packaging and ensuring all our product containers are recyclable. We do not test any of our products on animals, just people ... who always beg for more!
